BAY MINETTE, Ala. (WKRG) - The Alabama Ethics Commission is now involved in the investigation into a former deputy in Baldwin County.
As News 5 first reported in November, Carl Griffith is accused of falsifying his time card and abusing overtime.
Griffith was a 22-year veteran of the sheriff's office and resigned after the allegations surfaced.
The Baldwin County District Attorney's Office reviewed the case and passed it along to the Ethics Commission. The commission could now send the case to a grand jury, which would then decide whether or not to indict Griffith on criminal charges.
