Wreck Leaves Car in Two Halves

Mobile Police are investigating what caused an accident on Interstate 65 very early Wednesday morning. It happened around midnight in the northbound lanes near the Highway 90 exit. Witnesses on scene told News 5 that the car was driving at excessive speeds on the interstate just before it lost control and hit a tree. The car was cut in half on impact. One person was transported to the hospital while a second person in the car was not reported to be injured. No other vehicles were involved.
