first-degree robbery in connection with a weekend carjacking
attempt that left a woman seriously wounded.
Mobile police spokesman Eric Gallichant identified the victim as
42-year-old Linda Jumper of Mobile.
Police say 23-year-old Absalom Lucky suspected in the carjacking
attempt, which occured at at a gas station on Dauphin Island
Parkway.
Lucky is suspected of approaching Jumper around 2 a.m. Sunday
and trying to get into her GMC, C1500 pickup truck.
Gallichant said Jumper was shot in the chest after she struggled
with the man, who fled the scene in the victim's truck.
He said Lucky was quickly apprehended after he collided with a
telephone pole.
Mobile County District Attorney John Tyson said Lucky may face
other charges once the shooting investigation is complete.

Well its about time I didnt get roasted for making that comment. Its ok to have the BET, Ebony, NAACP, Ntl Black Law Assoc. and yet thats pride. You have one White person making a factual comment about the level of violence amongst the black community, and you are labeled a racist. Ridiculous. And it fuels further anger and hatred. Stereotypes are created by those who maintain them, not those who label them.
