Many folks showed up as early as seven o'clock this morning to vote. Some voters we spoke with say having only one place to vote was an inconvenience.
"I think they should of went ahead and left all of them open today, so people wouldn't have been in such long lines, "Said one voter.
While others who took to the long line dreaded having to wait amongst hundreds of others. "I wish that I'd voted last week when I could've, by my house, "Said another voter.
Judge Don Davis said many voters did take advantage of early voting last Wednesday, especially Democrats. "There was about five-thousand more Democrats than Republicans that voted last week on the early voting day," Said Davis, with the Mobile County Probate Court.
But on this election day voters were more evenly split, including voters for Hilary Clinton, John McCain, Barack Obama and Mike Huckabee.
