Punches were thrown at a local Christian school Monday morning. School officials say an angry parent attacked a teacher at Safe Haven Christian Academy on Martin Luther King Drive in Prichard prompting an emergency lockdown. The school's principal, who is also the school pastor, says this all stems from a fight last Friday between students. But what exactly happened Monday depends on who you ask. The principal tells us a parent came to the school to talk about Friday's fight. But, when the principal refused to talk, she says the parent became irate. We're also told when a teacher tried to calm things down, she was punched in the face by the parent. The teacher, Lauretta Harris, says she fought back, "after we got half way to the door that's when she looked at me and she punched me like this and then I went to fighting and fighting and we went out the door. Really, I just got tired of punching. I just really got tired of punching. The pastor said just let her go, let her go, I just let her go," said Harris. But the student's mother who agreed to talk with us if we didn't identify her tells a very different story. She claims she wasn't feeling well Monday morning so she sent her sister to the school to talk about that student fight. She says her sister didn't punch the teacher, she says it was her family that was attacked by school officials, "she did not hit that teacher the only time that we went to a door was this back door when Pastor Morrissette went in the back door and started calling them mf-ers and b's and all kind of words one of my sisters went back there and when my sister went back there she said open the gate and say that, and pastor, and she spit in her face," said parent. Prichard Police say an arrest warrant was issued for Dorothy Davis, she's the woman accused of assaulting the teacher.

you really would have to know the harris family the pastor and teacher or sister and you can bet any thing that the pastor curse the parent out in this case. the prichard police need to investigate the family more the hold school is family and the fight was i know with either the pastor or the teacher kid whom they think does no wrong. please prichard police digg into this more before a innocent person meaning the parent goes to jail.
