The University of South Alabama moved another step closer today to starting NCAA football.
The football subcommittee of the USA Board of Trustees has recommended the board approve starting a football team and a marching band.
The board is scheduled to meet Thursday morning to talk about the proposal and then vote on it.

The Trustee Subcommittee on Football is made up of:

Mr. Donald L. Langham
Mr. John M. Peek
Dr. Steven H. Stokes
Mayor James P. Nix (former Mayor of Fairhope)
Ms. Christie D. Miree
Mr. Larry D. Striplin, Jr.
