A 16-year-old from Mobile was taken into custody Friday night after going for a joyride in his mother's car.
Chickasaw Police say he lead officers on a chase through three cities.
Sgt. Penton with Chickasaw Police tells News 5 that an officer spotted the vehicle speeding along Craft Highway at 12th Ave.
The teenager, driving a 2005 Nissan Altima, was being chased by his two brothers in a Chevy Impala.
Chickasaw Police began pursuing both vehicles down through Prichard and into Mobile.
Officer's caught up with the Impala on Interstate 65 at Airport Blvd where they learned two men were chasing their own brother.
They told police the brother took their mother's car without her permission.
Just before 10:00 p.m. a News 5 Sky Camera spotted a police chase going west bound on Airport Blvd. and continuing north on to Interstate-65.
That chase ended in front of 1608 St. Stephen's Avenue near Dunbar St.
Police were able to stop the Altima and took into custody the 16-year-old who allegedly took his mother's car. Police on scene say spike strips were deployed on St. Steven's Rd deflating one tire and the vehicle side swiped a pole.
No word yet on what the teenager will be charged with. His brother driving the Impala has been charged with reckless driving as well as fleeing and attempting to elude police officers.

I agree that they should be charged with Reckless driving, but not attempting to elude or resisting arrest or whatever. Clearly, this was not their intention. Sooner or later we have to take intention into account.
