Roy Stillwell entered the guilty plea Thursday in federal court.
Stillwell was arrested in December at Love's Travel Stop on Highway 59, just north of I-10. The woman used the truck horn to attract the attention of other drivers.
Back in January, Stillwell's attorney said his client did not kidnap the woman. "This is a voluntary arrangement that the two had made," said Jim Sweet. "She was not a prisoner she was there by her own decision."
But prosecutors have always painted a much more gruesome picture. During a preliminary hearing, investigators testified Stillwell abducted the woman December 8th in Montgomery, choked her unconscious, cut her clothes off, tied her up, raped and sodomized her almost a dozen times over four days.
Sentencing is scheduled for June 13. Stillwell faces up to life in prison and a $250,000 fine.
