truck cab at a truck stop off Interstate 10 in Loxley.
47-year-old Roy Scott Stillwell of Hartville was arrested
yesterday after the woman used the truck horn to attract other
drivers about 4 p.m. while Stillwell was inside Love's Travel Stop
on Alabama 59, just north of I-10.
The woman, in her 20s, apparently was kidnapped in Montgomery,
but Baldwin County Sheriff's spokesman Major Anthony Lowery
declined to release additional information. Stillwell is scheduled
to appear at a 1 p.m. bond hearing in Bay Minette.
Lowery said additional charges of rape and sodomy are possible.
Federal authorities joined the investigation because the truck
was involved in interstate travel.
Lowery said authorities also will "look hard at the possibility
that there are other victims throughout the country."
