Over the past two weeks, more than 200 cast bronze vases have been stolen off the graves at Jackson County Memorial Park.
Officers believe the men were stealing the vases in the middle of the night.
Last week, police received information that the two men were trying to sell the vases at a recycling plant in Moss Point, but the company refused to buy them.
"When the two guys showed up at the recycling center, they told them they had found these vases in a ditch behind some ball fields in Escatawpa. The recycling center says no, this is stolen property. We know what they are. Ya'll need to contact the police and return them to who they belong to," said Pascagoula Police Department spokesperson Capt. Shannon Broom.
The two men who stole the vases are still on the run.
It's believed they're driving an older model grayish-blue Chevy S-10 pick-up truck.
If you have any information about this case, contact the Pascagoula Police Department.
