Today marks the 4th anniversary of the start of the war in Iraq, and it was this week four years ago, a Mobile family got the news, every soldier's parents hope they will never have to hear. Private First Class Howard Johnson the second was killed in an ambush March 23, 2003, just four days after the start of the war. He was Alabama's first fallen soldier in the war. We spoke with his parents today, who say even though they know their son died a hero, they can no longer support the war, "I support our troops, but not the war. It just bothers me that so many young men and women are still over there and so many like my son have given their life for it," said the fallen soldier's father, Reverend Howard Johnson Senior. This Friday will be the 4th anniversary of Johnson's death. His family says they plan to spend time together, and they will put flowers on Howard's grave that day.
