For thousands of workers at Northrop Grumman's Pascagoula shipyard, Thursday was payday, and it may be the last paycheck they get for a while. To help, some Pascagoula businesses are pitching in to make sure the strikers needs are met, while money's tight. The people on the picket line say they appreciate the community's support. United Food Commercial workers collect food for the picket line. They say donations are pouring in from churches and local businesses and there is even a plan to help feed families at home. "For each union member that's out there that's walking and picketing, they'll be able to come by and get their box once we get our pantry stocked up." That's according to Guawaina Johnson, a Food Bank committee chairman. Union employees walked off the job last Thursday, saying they wanted higher pay and lower insurance prices.
