Police agencies on both sides of Mobile Bay are looking for two men considered "armed and dangerous." Investigators in Daphne say two men used a stolen pick-up truck as a getaway car in a Wednesday morning bank robbery. The Wachovia Bank on Highway 98 in Daphne was hit around 11-am. Detectives say the men, both carrying guns, got away with cash.
"The pick-up truck was stolen out of Saraland," says Capt. Danny Bell of the Daphne Police Department. "We're running down some leads to try and track it down."
Employees at the United States Sports Academy, which is next to the bank, say they saw the robbery go down.
"They were were masks and camoflage," says Richard Kline. "And they ran out of the bank and got in a red truck and headed north on Highway 98."
Call the Daphne Police Department at 251-621-9100 if you can help investigators solve the armed robbery.
