OCALA, Fla. (AP) - Wesley Snipes is hoping to get his federaltax conviction overturned. Lawyers for the action star say they
will appeal the jury verdict that found him guilty on three
misdemeanor counts of willful failure to file income tax returns.
The two-page notice of an intent to appeal was filed on
Thursday. It doesn't mention the grounds for appeal.
Snipes has been sentenced to three years in prison in the case.
The actor is still free until he's ordered by prison officials to
surrender.
