JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - ABC "Good Morning America" co-host Robin
Roberts will begin undergoing chemotherapy to treat breast cancer
Thursday.
Roberts said on Wednesday's broadcast of the morning show that
she would go into work and then head off for chemotherapy.
The 46-year-old announced on the July 31st show that she had
been diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent surgery August 3.
Roberts returned to work 10 days later.
Roberts, who grew up in Pass Christian, Mississippi, said after
the successful surgery her doctors determined that chemotherapy
will be the most effective form of treatment. That will be followed
by radiation treatment.
Roberts said that she plans to work as often as she can.
