Police say two high school students, 17-year-old Kierra Hogues and 18-year-old William Nodd, and an unemployed man pulled up next to the victim Monday afternoon on Acampo Boulevard. They pointed a loaded gun at the kid and told him to give up his cash. The teenager showed the trio his empty wallet and they took off.
The alert victim called police and gave them a good description of the suspect's SUV. Eight minutes later, Officer Erica Stuart spotted a red, Nissan Xterra that matched the vehicle description pulling out of a parking lot at Cottage Hill Road and University Boulevard. She stopped the SUV and arrested Hogues, Nodd and 18-year-old Travoris Bunn. Officer Stuart also found a loaded gun inside the SUV.
