Prichard police are looking for a man who robbed the Rite Aid on St. Stephens Rd.

According to police, the man walked into the store around 11:40 Monday morning and demanded money. He forced the cashier to get on the floor and then emptied the cash register. He took off in a dark colored Ford Ranger pickup truck.

The robbery suspect is described as a black male, 5'9" to 5'10" tall, weighing 190-200 pounds. If you recognize the man in the surveillance picture, call Prichard police at 251.452.2211.

I agree Carl, it’s pretty pathetic that the average 30$ webcam has a better picture than most store security cameras. Then the store owners cry about not being able to catch the guy. I couldn’t recognize myself on most security cams.

How about that! You can actually see a face from this camera, the quality of the cameras these type of places buy must be improving. In some recently released photos of robberies and attacks, you were doing good to actually make out if it was a person or not. I believe BAMABOB said he was going to suggest to WALMART they should go buy their cameras from TARGET.

The job market’s not really that great right now, and with minimum wage going up in late July, I expect to see more skeleton crews at minimum wage type jobs.

The only way I see to get people to stop robbing others is if owners start to shooting to kill.  If the shoe shine guy can get away with it I am sure you could too.
