The gifts are unwrapped. The boxes are opened. Don't throw it in the trash! You can recycle it! You can't however recycle plastic wrap, blocks of styrofoam, ribbon or bows.

You can take your wrapping paper and cardboard boxes to any of these locations:

Hillwood Shopping Center - Hillcrest Road at Cottage Hill Road
Cottage Hill Shopping Center - Cottage Hill at old Demotropolis Road
Fred's Shopping Center - Cottage Hill at Azalea Road

If you've already taken down your Christmas tree, there are plenty of places to recycle it in Mobile and Baldwin Counties.
Now through January 6th, you can drop off your tree at the following locations in Mobile County:

Parkway Plaza - 2655 Dauphin Island Parkway
Food World - 251 Government Boulevard
Wildwood Place Food World - 4055 Cottage Hill Road
Azalea Center - Airport at Azalea
Regency Center Bruno's - Airport at University
Westwood Plaza - Airport at Schillinger
Park Forest Center - Moffet at Forest Hill Drive
Clover Leaf Plaza - Tillmans Corner
Sears Essentials - Highway 43, Saraland

Volunteers will be on hand from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday December 29 & 30 and January 5 & 6 to help unload trees at the Mobile County locations.


In Baldwin County, you can drop off trees starting December 27 through January 13, 2008 at the following locations.

Magnolia Landfill - 15140 County Road 49, Summerdale
MacBride Landfill - 14200 County Road 64, Loxley
Eastfork Landfill - 17971 CC Road, Elberta
Bay Minette Transfer Station - 291 Nicholsville Road, Bay Minette

Please be sure all lights and decorations have been removed before you drop off your tree.
