A spokeswoman for the City of Prichard issued a press release tonight (Thursday) regarding the situation.
The release stated Mayor Ron Davis would like for the public to know that due to the controversy over the employment of several relatives of Chief Lawrence Battiste IV, all four family members have resigned.
News Five spoke with Battiste tonight, who declined to comment on the situation. Chief Battiste tells us a press conference will be held tomorrow (Friday).

He looks sooo much like Carlton Banks from Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
