Authorities say she went missing from her Glenn Lakes Community home in Foley around 5:30 Thursday evening.
Her husband Jim Walker says they only lived in Foley for about a month, but she was miserable and wanted to move. "She said I can't stand living here anymore, I want to go back home so we put it up for sale, we lucked out, somebody put some money down to buy it and I thought we were on our way back to Illinois." But Mr. Walker says he hasn't seen his wife since. Authorities say they found no indication of foul play in the house but they haven't ruled it out. Mr. Walker told News Five he was on his way to have a polygraph test at the police department. He's says she didn't take much. "She took a thirty-eight special, a drivers license with an Alabama license and two credit cards," Said Walker's husband.
Authorities are searching throughout the area but today's (Friday) search was suspended by rain and lightning. With several lakes in the community, police say divers have helped with the search. Tomorrow they plan to bring in equipment that will assist the divers. "I hope to be able to get in contact with the North Baldwin search and rescue and they have the sonar reading equipment, their boats are small enough that we can get them into these small lakes,"Said Deputy Chief Randy Bishop with the Foley Police Department.
Police say the search will resume around nine o'clock Saturday morning. Authorities say Marilynne Walker doesn't have a medical condition. She was last seen wearing blue jeans and a green shirt. If you have any information call the Foley Police Department.
