Police in Virginia arrested Howard University's men's soccer coach Friday (1/25) on charges of soliciting a person he thought was a 13-year-old girl for sexual purposes.Forty-year-old Joseph Okoh was charged with one felony count of using a communications system to solicit a person under 15 years old with lascivious intent. He is being held without bond at the Central Virginia Regional Jail pending a Friday (2/1) bond hearing.
The Louisa County Sheriff's Office says Okoh traveled from his home in Arlington, Virginia for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity with a person he thought was a 13-year-old girl. The person was actually an undercover deputy.
A Howard University spokeswoman said Okoh had been suspended from the university pending completion of the investigation.
