Federal authorities announced today that 3 Pensacola doctors are accused of illegally dispensing drugs.
According to a federal indictment, Dr. Geraldo Klug, Dr. Rogelio Martinez and Dr. Osler Rivas unlawfully prescribed pain medication while employed at Chronic Pain Management or Controlled Pain Management located on Navy Boulevard in Pensacola.
The indictment alleges the doctors illegally prescribed Oxycodone, Roxicodone, Dilaudid, Oxycontin, Lortab, Methadone and other medication in exchange for cash office visit fees.
Authorities say the businesses are managed by Mark Artigues of New Orleans, who is also named in the indictment.
Agents with the DEA, IRS and FDLE along with investigators from the Escambia County Sheriff's Office and the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's office took part in a operation named "Doc-in-a-Box", which led to the indictments.
