employee found a plastic bag on the road stuffed with $65,000 - and
immediately turned it in to authorities.
It turns out the money had fallen off a Loomis armored car
earlier today before Debbie Cole found it near the solid waste
operations facility where she works. She immediately contacted a
supervisor, who called deputies.
A spokesman for Loomis says it's clear how the bag fell from the
truck.
Cole's boss, Bob Hauser, says he can't give her a raise or a
bonus for her good deed because she's a government employee. But he
says maybe he can arrange some extra time off.
Cole, who grew up in Long Island, said she was raised to be
honest. She said she raised her four daughters the same way.
Did Cole think for just a minute about keeping the money?
As she puts it: "To be honest, no. It didn't even cross my
mind."

Suspects Linked To Four Car Burglaries

I sure hope Loomis compensates her. Since she is a government employee, I believe she is entitled to some recognition. Thanks wkrg for this wonderful story.
