A group of New York City firefighters arrived in Daphne Wednesday.
They drove seven rental trucks filled with enough toys for 7,000 children.
This is the firefighters fifth trip here since Katrina hit.
Tom O'Connor, said, "We're just trying to help out. We're trying to make the holiday season brighter for the kids down here. We know they're still dealing with the aftermath of Katrina and its just the right thing to do."
On the back of the rental trucks were posters commemorating the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center September 11th, 2001.
O'Connor said, "We did get an outpouring of support nationwide, even globally, in New York City after 9-11, so that when the disaster hit here, it was just natural for us to come down and help out."
Thursday morning, the firefighters will travel to Moss Point and Gulfport, Mississippi to donate their gifts.
