Defense contractor Northrop Grumman is offering a $25,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction of the person who called in a bomb threat to it's Pascagoula shipyard on September 18th.
The caller claimed there was a bomb aboard one of the U.S. Navy Warships currently under construction. As a precaution, Northrop Grumman halted production and evacuated employees.
"We received information that a bomb was on one of our ships," said Northrop Grumman spokesman Bill Glenn. "We evacuated everyone on the ship and we thoroughly searched the ship."
Glenn said security did not find a bomb and everyone went back to work.
Anyone with information about the bomb threat is asked to call either Northrop Grumman's plant in Pascagoula (228.935.3783) or New Orleans (504.654.3806 or 504.654.3840).
