We have new information about a crossdresser Okaloosa County Sheriff's Deputies say pepper sprayed a cop and stole his patrol car. Eugene Smith was being returned to Crisp County, Georgia to face identify theft charges. Okaloosa County Sheriff's Deputies say Smith attacked the Crisp County Deputy around 3:30 yesterday afternoon in Holt. Smith told deputies he had had the pepper spray with him since he was in jail in Houston. Deputies say Smith confessed to planning the attack, then leaving the patrol car in the woods and spending the night in an abandoned trailer. In addition to the original identity theft charges, Smith is charged with escape, aggravated battery, and grand theft auto. He was arrested Thursday morning after being spotted walking along Highway 90 west of Holt.
