Two toddlers who fell into a swimming pool were last listed in critical condition at U.S.A. children's and women's hospital. The Thursday morning accident happened at a daycare in Jackson Alabama. Neighbors tell news 5 the owner was taking out the trash when the two, two year old boys wandered into the pool. Officials with the Alabama Bureau of Investigation are handling the case because of a conflict of interest. Investigators say the day care manager, Nancy Overstreet is related to the Jackson police chief. Friends and family say they are sorry and believe it was a tragic accident. "Everybody involved hates that it happened. And no one wants to be involved in anything like what is happening today. It was an accident and hopefully through prayers it can be healed." That's according to Darrell Gates, a close friend of the Overstreet family. Once the A.B.I. is finished with the investigation it will turn over the case over to the Clarke County district attorney. The district attorney will present the case to a grand jury, which will then decide if charges should be filed.
