Someone has set up a myspace page in memory of 4 kids believed to have been thrown from the Dauphin Island Bridge. The page has pictures of the kids. It also has a place where you can leave condolences for the family. To see it for yourself, click the link to the right. To check out News 5's MySpace page, click here.

It’s a shame that at a terrible time like this there have to be off the wall comments made. These are four lives who were lost. It doesn’t matter what race, religion, etc. These babies did not deserve this, nobody deserves to die like this.

You people are too goofy to equate immigrants from a country we fought for with our Founding Fathers.

You mentioned hatred.  I have no hatred but I do have two Purple Hearts to remind me of the places where those puppets of the Chinese shot me twice.

Get on with your life lady.  Pay a price for something before you try and give away anything.  I paid my price.  Now, it is your turn.

This is a tragedy imposed on four innocent victims.  They should be honored in any way possible.  Their mother should not want for anything (burial arrangements food, after the loss of her husbands income, or anything of that nature.) We as a community that has so much should allow her a chance to grieve without worry.  To bring other issues into the equation such as the war veterans has nothing to do with anything in this situation.  rmseek1234 you are absolutely right and I think this is a coming together for us.  This is the first time we have agreed on a subject matter, hoorrrayyy.

There has been an additional myspace page created by a friend of the mother.  All comments and messages will be relayed to her at an appropriate time.  The page is .... http://www.myspace.com/dauphin_island_angels
News and information will be updated several times a day on this page.  Thank you all for your warm thoughts and loving prayers.  God be with you all as you are praying for him to be with us.
A Loving Person.

Anytime someone dies it is horrible.  The fact that these were four innocent, helpless children makes it that much worse.  My heart goes out to the family and community.

My life-long best friend emigrated from Vietnam when she was four.  Her family endured a harrowing trip, first from Vietnam to Thailand and then, finally, to America.  Since their arrival thirty-plus years ago, her parents have learned English, attended college and made strong lives for themselves.  Her father works for HUD and is also a preacher.  Both children have grown up to be strong members of their communities.  My point?  Anyone who comes to this country is living what our ancestors lived - the American Dream.  It is what this country was founded on and what this country will thrive on.  When we stop supporting this, our country will fail.  No one deserves to be discriminated against - regardless of “race, creed or national origin.”

Dear vetvoice,

I do appreciate all the war veterans, past and current, and the efforts and sacrifices they have given to our country. But let me point out a couple of things: We are all originally immigrants, from somewhere-whether that be England, Germany, Ireland, Vietnam or any of the other countries that make the US the “melting pot.” The efforts of citizens to honor and memorialize the children, has nothing to do with their race or national origin-which by they way, they were born in America and are Baptist, not Buddhist. Do not take your hatred out on innocent babies. And as for honoring the 58,000 Americans-there is the Vietnam War Memorial, Veterans Day and many other forms of recognition for your efforts. I am not down-playing your service, but please do not downplay this tragedy and insinuate that they should not be here!

It was a horrible thing to do.  When little ones die it is always tough.  Grow past it.  If you want to honor someone do it for the 58,000 Americans who died so they could live here.

Someone needs to check and see if the children are Buddhist.  It makes a difference.

Stay with us Dear Mother of these sweet babies...we WILL see that Monster get his portion of justice here on Earth for taking your children from you....But his REAL Justice will come when he leaves this Earth. God LOVES you dearly...and so does this community!!!
