Fallen Auburn Star Now A Drug Dealer

director of campus safety has not been told where the student was
kidnapped.
Maj. Melvin Owens, the school's executive director of security
and public safety, said Monday he has not been told whether
18-year-old freshman Lauren Burk was abducted on campus or at a
site away from the school.
Auburn police have said some information is being withheld for
investigative reasons.
Burk was found on a roadside about five miles from the
university last Tuesday night and her car was found later burning
in a parking lot on campus.
Owens said the school has increased the hours of its security
shuttles and has implemented an escort service for students leaving
the library.
Courtney Lockhart of Smiths, Ala., has been arrested and charged
with capital murder in the killing.
His initial court appearance is scheduled Monday afternoon at
the same time as a campus-wide memorial service for Burk.
