a $75,000 bond, accused in an armed robbery late Thursday night at
the Quality Inn on Mississippi Highway 63.
Moss Point police say 37-year-old Samuel Harlan of Cleveland,
Tennessee, was arrested shortly before 11 p.m. Thursday after a
Jackson County sheriff's deputy who'd seen video surveillance of
the robbery saw Harlan eating at a Waffle House.
Police say a motel clerk who was robbed identified Harlan as the
robber.
Harlan is accused of robbing the clerk at knifepoint, stealing
more than $315.
Police say they found the stolen cash along with a shirt that
was identical to the one that the robber had worn in Harlan's car.
Harlan is charged with one count of armed robbery.
No one was injured in the incident.
