McCain is introducing himself as an "imperfect servant" during a
stop in Meridian this morning (Monday).
The Arizona senator -- speaking at Mississippi State University
near a naval air field named for his grandfather -- says he
descended from a family of U.S. warriors devoted to honor, courage
and duty.
It was the first stop on a weeklong tour that his campaign
called a "Service to America Tour," an attempt to introduce him
to the public as his party's candidate for the fall campaign.
In comments to reporters en route to the speech, he said it
could be two or three days before the outcome is known of the Iraqi
government's attempt to take control of Basra from Shiite militias.
He says the Iraqi Prime Minister ordered the move on his own.
Later today, he's scheduled to head to Jackson for a
$1,000-a-plate fundraiser dinner at the University Club downtown.
He's also making stops this week in Maryland, where he attended
the Naval Academy, Florida and Arizona.

Baldwin County Ballot Blunder

At least the guy does have a history of doing something for his fellow man!
Dean said over the weekend that McCain was an “opportunist” for bringing up his military background. That is one of the most laughable things I have heard coming out of the Democratic Party this year! I wonder what Dean called Hillary after she tried to exploit a trip she made to Bosnia several years ago? lol
