NEW ORLEANS (AP) - The mayor of New Orleans is pushing to empty
thousands of federally issued post-Katrina trailers over
formaldehyde concerns.
Ray Nagin says they "need to get everybody out" and
find out "if anybody's health is being harmed."
Nearly 5,700 trailers remain in New Orleans, most on the private
property of residents who lost their homes to Katrina.
The tough stance is a post-Katrina departure for Nagin. Until
now, he has refused to pressure residents in trailers because of a
lack of affordable housing.

Here’s an idea “BUILD THEM OUT OF BETTER MATERIALS” the only reason formaldehyde is even in the trailers, is because of the cheap building materials. The government knows the risk of the substance, but yet it’s not regulated in manufacturing materials ? What gives ? Find different suppliers, and quit doing further damage to people who have already suffered plenty !
