Stewart's dog, Paw Paw, has died of renal failure. He was nearly
13 years old.
Stewart had the dog since he was born. She had named the chow
Paw Paw because of his large paws.
In a blog posting about his death over the weekend, Stewart
said, "Paw Paw was a spectacular chow and an even more spectacular
dog." She wrote, "He was always my loyal companion, displaying
the most agreeable temperament."
She also says he was a willing model for TV commercials and
national print ads.
Stewart has two other dogs and several other animals at her home
in Bedford, New York.
