According to the medical examiner for Okaloosa County, Mark Rohlman was shot in the right elbow and left thigh by members of the Sheriff Office's Special Response Team. But neither of those shots were fatal. Rohlman died from a self-inflicted shotgun wound to the head.
Rohlman shot Forgione Tuesday during a standoff in Fort Walton Beach. Forgione and the rest of the Special Response Team stormed the house when Rohlman refused to come out.Forgione's funeral will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Niceville.
A trust fund has been set up for Forgione's wife and two young daughters. You can make a donation to the Deputy Anthony Forgione Benefit Account at any Beach Community Bank.
