Deputies say Lesley Goins ignored a restraining order and forced his way into an ex-girlfriends home in Milton on January 27th. Goins then beat and choked her, causing her to briefly lose consciousness. Once Goins was done, deputies say Goins threatened to kill the woman because he did not want to go back to prison.
Goins brought rope and duct tape with him. He also removed the woman's phone so she could not call 911.
The victim managed to reason with Goins, telling him that she was supposed to drop something by work. And if she didn't show up, co-workers would come looking for her. Goins agreed to drive his ex-girlfriend to work. When they got there, she jumped out of the car and ran for help.
A judge has issued numerous arrest warrants for Goins on the following charges: aggravated assault, battery, kidnapping, depriving a means of communication and violation of an injunction for protection.
The Sheriff's Office first released this information on Friday, but they have not had any tips. If you see Goins, or know where he is, please call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 850.437.STOP.
