The Mobile Co. Sheriff's Office says 19 year old Brandon Trosclair suffered 3rd degree burns to his face and arms during a meth lab explosion. But he refused to go to the hospital. Trosclair was treated on the scene.
Narcotics Investigators got a 911 call about the explosion on Ironwood Drive around 8 o'clock this morning. During a search of the home, deputies found drug paraphernalia and various meth lab components. The case is still under investigation and charges are pending.
Around the same time as the meth lab explosion, deputies were called to a home on Oaklane Drive in Theodore for a home invasion (see video). The victims,
Kenneth Musgrove and Paul Smith, had severe head injuries and were transported to the hospital.
During the investigation, deputies found a working meth lab. Musgrove, Smith and a third person have all been charged with manufacturing meth.
"Today's two meth lab incidents highlight the importance of the meth initiative, funded by the U.S. Department of Justice in the amount of $450,000, to combat meth crime in Mobile County," said Sheriff Sam Cochran.
