LeFlore Coach Otis Hughley, departing with his team from Minneapolis where they had just played, were delayed by Minneapolis Police so that players could be questioned about a sexual assault that had taken place at the hotel where the team was staying. There were many other players at the hotel, and Police say they were just being thorough in their investigation. LeFlore was cleared of any connection with the assault and boarded a later flight for Mobile.
Coach Hughley told News Five by phone, "The only thing people normally comment on about our team is how well mannered our players are."
Police are continuing their investigation into the charges that they say were brought by a nineteen year old woman at the hotel.

I am not suprise this negative news aired on this local media outlet.  As usual Leflore does not make the news when it comes to postive things however anything no matter false or not make the news.  This school has been rank number 1 in the nation however this was not broadcast to the magnitude as this negative news has been.  It is obvious that if this school was your Murphy, Daphne or St Paul this basket ball team would be the cinderella team in Mobile area.  WKRG, just get in line behind Mobile Press Register, Mobile School Board and other local media outlets and assume the worst as you commonly do on a regular basis.  And to think you call yourself a balanced news media outlet.  What a joke
