Upset over their own 62-percent pay raise, two Alabama Senators are threatening to stop any bill from being passed this session. Several State Senators say they're prepared to bring the senate to a grinding halt until lawmakers reverse a rule change, made in January, which makes it easier to have a voice vote. When lawmakers approved the pay raise last week, State Senator Bradley Byrne and several other Senators objected to the voice vote. They wanted each vote counted and written down, but Byrne claims the Lieutenant Governor didn't recognize them. "I don't know how much more obvious you could possibly be. We're getting some signs made up now that are going to be in bright lettering "Roll Call" on them. So not only will we be yelling and raising our hands next time, we'll be holding a sign that says roll call." That's according to Republican State Senator Bradley Byrne from district 32. Governor Bob Riley says he will veto the pay increase next week, but lawmakers believe they will have enough votes to over ride the veto.
A shocking surprise for a Baldwin County couple. Lorene and Jerry Kinslow bought a Uni-Flame portable propane grill from the Wal-Mart in Foley. As they emptied the contents, they noticed that something didn't belong.
