MIAMI (AP) - A reputed Miami gang leader who appeared in anInternet video taunting police with guns has pleaded guilty to
federal weapons charges.
Rudy Villanueva admitted Friday he was a
convicted felon in possession of a firearm. The 31-year-old
Villanueva faces a maximum of 10 years in prison when sentenced May
14.
Villanueva and another man were arrested in January after a
video was posted on the Internet showing them with an AK-47 assault
rifle and other weapons. They also made threats to police and
taunted officers to arrest them. Police did just that
The other man, 22-year-old Anthony Logan, also pleaded guilty to
weapons charges.
