himself in the Harrison County jail apparently stole a classmate's
identity.
The inmate known as Timothy Shane Haynie was found Monday night
-- one day after he and three other inmates escaped from the jail.
They were all captured but now authorities believe Haynie was
actually Cody Blair Green of Big Spring, Texas.
Prosecutors say Green and Haynie grew up together and went to
the same school. They say the inmate had used his classmate's name
since at least September 2002, when Biloxi police arrested him on
an armed robbery charge.
The inmate's death was ruled a suicide by hanging. Harrison
County Coroner Gary Hargrove says tests will be used to verify the
inmate's identity.
Assistant District Attorney Beth McFadyen says a Texas attorney
recently contacted her office and claimed the real Haynie was
registering for college when he learned he was listed as
incarcerated in a Mississippi prison.
