i feel for this family just as much as the rest of you guys do, but we cannot convict this man of murder.  he did not set out that morning to kill that child.  you guys should read a law book and see what the meaning of murder and manslaughter are.  if he is guilty of anything it should be reaklessness.  no he should have been carring a load that big and driving that slow, but if the mother was doing the speed limit herself she would have had ample time to slow down so dont blame him and dont blame her.  it is not up to us to blame them, that is why we have investigators and the judge to do that.  i hope the family can move on and have a somewhat normal christmas at least for the other children involved.  that is what they need most, some sence of normalcy.

I never address the person in the truck I only address the family that hurts the most from this. it hurts my hreat to know that she lost her baby sorry that my comment hurt you that was not what i was trying to do.

You my dear are a double standard. You have the nerve to use a name like that but yet, judge people for their OPINIONS? You darn right people were upset at the death of this little baby. We were only going by what the news article stated (with no follow up, of course). So please, “OMG” yourself to someone who is listening to you, k?

As I have stated already, prayers going out to this family. I hope they charge that man with murder. If he lied about everything then he has this baby’s death on his conscience and we all know God is watching.

I pray that the mother and her family are do ok. you all are in my prayers only time can heal this.

It;s difficult to imagine anything but darkness and despair when tragedy strikes, but know that every tear shed brings you one step closer to healing and each new day brings fewer tears.

My Prayers and Thoughts go out to you and your Family. I’m sadden by some of the comments posted here. People are always jumping the gun on so quick to point fingers and yet they don’t have a clue as to what happen or Didn’t happen. We are learning this lesson right now thru our own Personal family incident. I personal know how the News can blow things out of view and make statements thats not even founded and for this My heart goes out to you and the family.

You are going on about “ Maybe” “Could have beens” “What If’s” When NONE of you know what happen that day. The ONLY side you have heard thus far Is Of Course the other drivers side. Do any of yall really think he’s going to admit ANY Fault to this accident? Do you really think he’s going to say ANY THING that will leave him at blame ? aidensmommie… thank you for responding. NO, I am not a cold hearted person and if you read my first reply then I mentioned the fact the seatbelts could have failed, as you mentioned the Mother was also ejected.

Either way, I feel bad for the entire family.

Our family is heart broken and we have to spend Christmas without one of our newest editions.  Our Baby Johnny was the center of her mommy and daddy’s world.  We are so heartbroken and then we read some of your comments and it just upsets us to no end.  Do you people not have hearts?  We have to bury this baby without her mother?  How would you guys feel about that?  Step back and wait until you hear the final report before you start pointing your fingers, b/c that is exactly what you are doing.  Or if you HAVE to point fingers, go ask that man why he lied and said he was doing 45 mph when he pulled out of the gas station.  And for those of you that have prayed for our family, thank you. Ok, so has anyone put themselves in this families place?  There is a young mother in ICU not knowing her baby girl is dead and people want to accuse her of not doing the right thing.  The mother was ejected and she was in a seatbelt.  Goes to show you nothing is perfect.  There were so many recalls on carseats resently and what if this family happened to purchase one of these carseats and had no way of knowing about it.  Not everyone is fortunate enough to have internet access or have the time to read the paper everyday.  AND what about the man who pulled out in front of her.  IF you take a look at the place he pulled out from and look at the place she hit him, there was NO way he could have been doing 45 miles an hour.  I live a few miles from this sight and this man is seen all the time pulling this crappy trailer and never doing over 35 mph.  why isn’t he being questioned.  He had too much loaded on his trailer, but doesn’t look like any one is looking into that.

Sorry - ran out of space.  Point being.....I was not accusing the mother of anything and not saying this is what happened in this incident or even speculating.  Even if the baby wasn’t strapped in, chances are greater that it was an oversight on her part (one she’ll sadly have to live with for a long time) rather than an intentional act.  It happens.  I think a lot more folks out there have forgotten than will ever admit to it.  They just got lucky - like we did.  So, nobody can judge her as being a poor mother and say she needs to be prosecuted simply based on what little is in this article. 

I was just using this forum as a venue to post my own PSA (public service announcement) and voice my opinion on those type carseats.  Not bash her parenting skills.
