County worker was still shocked when she received a $5,000 reward
and a free trip to Disney World for turning in money that she
found.
Debbie Cole saw on the road a plastic bag full of enough cash to
pay her salary for two years. But she says she didn't think twice
about doing the right thing.
Yesterday, she was rewarded for her honesty by Loomis, the
security company that was supposed to be transporting the cash.
Company officials aren't saying how the mishap happened. Regions
Bank, where the money was supposed to end up, gifted her a free
stay at the Disney World Resort in Orlando.
Since the incident two weeks ago, Cole has received letters of
appreciation from across the country.
