Federal agents and Summerdale police raided a construction site at Summerdale school arresting five Hispanic workers.
Five more workers ran from police. Summerdale Police Chief Dwain Riebling says they had received complaints about suspected illegal aliens on the job site and contacted Federal authorities.
Summerdale School was in lockdown for about two hours while federal agents searched for the workers who ran. They were never located.
Bayshore Construction is one of a dozen contractors used by the Baldwin County School System for construction projects.

Reckon how it will affect the contractor?
Maybe if they posted the names of more contractors using illegals, said contractors will quit using them.

In theory, if there are no jobs for illegals, they will either go home ormake every effort to become legal. Just wishful ponderings I suppose.

WELL SAID, UOP!! *Applauds.*

One more thing… if they can’t afford to enter the country legally, then that is a shame. Maybe they should go to their own government for help, not ours illegally.

I am not the INS. I am very happy they arrested them and hopefully there is more to follow. ENFORCE the laws on the books.

As for the tapdancing, you just tried to learn, but failed.

Get ready, more illegals to be arrested.

I no longer want to engage in this dialog because my College Football team is playing and I choose to end this conversation. Whether I choose to trust the Government on one issue and not another is my right as a voting United States Citizen and is frankly none of your business.  I do not have to answer to you and will not answer to you. I have more important things to do rather than worry about what you think about my opinion.

This too will be my last entry to you. You are full of contradictions. You say let the “government decide” about the cost of immigration in one blog, and then you oppose the government’s decision to enter the war.  Which is it, trust the government or not? (rhetorical question) I am not here to “flatter” myself, but I can very clearly see why you no longer want to engage in this dialogue.

Yes, I think that they should be sent back. I think that the entire war should have never happened. I am not here for you to flatter your self. You are not my Social Studies Teacher so please direct your questions to someone else. I post my opinion and I would respect anyone elses opinion.

UOPcj: What is your opinion on the 25,000+ illegal immigrants who have served in our U.S. armed forces in combat roles? Should they be sent back too? NOt an argument for the sake of arguing. Really, what do you think about that? Info. from the U.S. Dept of Defense.

I am glad that they were arrested. Maybe they will be sent back to their homeland and be forced to enter the United States LEGALLY if they want to pursue a life here.

Huh? You were the one who said all of the immigrants in the situations I mentioned (pedicure/restaurants, etc. ) are legal. I was simply questioning the validity of your claim. I am not exaggerating anything. You were the one who brought up statistics and said that “ALL” the things I mentioned were legal. How do you know? Are you the green card inspector?  Furthermore, since you’re so big into research: 1. Look up the cost of entering the U.S. legally 2. Read the “The New Collosus” and 3. Look up the word “hyperbole.“ Finally, I am not trying to “spin” anything—just the facts. Oh, I don’t know how to tap dance.

It is not up to me to ask them for their green cards. Personally, if it were my business, I would have.

YOU are the one that brought up all the other issues, when I am the one trying to explain THIS issue. The ONLY problem is the issue of entering this country illegally.

You are full of spin and tapdanced all around the work visa.

If you do not know how to search, then I rest my case. You are just arguing for the sake of arguing. No real proof to back you up, just alot of hyperbole.

I suppose you personally asked each one of these people to see their green cards?  It is not irrelevant what your views on other important issues. To isolate one issue, to take it out of any contextual basis, is a very simplified way to examine problems. It is easier that way, sure, because it requires more emotional energy than thought.  I said your comments were racial, not you. Hyperbole is what is moot here.  Maybe that serves you well elsewhere; however, in a productive debate, it detracts from the issue.  Tell you what, tell me where YOU looked up these statistics you are spouting, and I’ll be glad to visit the same source.
