Crews closed the ramp to traffic while inspectors surveyed the damage. Orange traffic cones were placed in front of the section of damaged railing. The ramp was reopened to traffic shortly after 2am.
DOT officials say the on-ramp railing will be repaired sometime Wednesday. It will be closed while the repair work is done.
