After being closed down much of Friday afternoon and evening, a stretch of Interstate 10 is back open.
An accident on the interstate near U.S. 90 left three people hurt.
One woman had to be taken to the hospital by helicopter.
Mobile firefighters say she had third degree burns.
Another person also has life threatening burns.
Alabama state troopers say the crash happened while traffic had slowed because of another accident.
Inspectors did a preliminary check on the bridge and said it appeared to be undamaged, but they'll do another more in-depth check Saturday
State troopers say the three people hurt in the chain reaction collision were in the burned car.
But they may not have survived if it wasn't for the quick actions of others, including a man who's own truck was on fire.
Dennis Denmon says he was driving the truck that was destroyed by fire and was part of a chain reaction collision.
He said, "When I got rear ended by the other vehicle behind me, it pushed me on into the car. As soon as I hit the car, it immediately bust into flames."
Even with his truck on fire, Denmon and another man, Pete Riehm, helped the three people in the burning car escape.
Riehm said, "There was an elderly lady and, if I remember correctly, she had her hands and feet out the window. There were flames all around her. She was burnt, her hair was on fire. I grabbed her by her arms and pulled her through the window."
Denmon added, "They weren't saying anything. They were on fire and we were just pulling them to where we could get them."
State troopers have not released the names of the people hospitalized.
