Mobile Police are investigating three separate home invasions. The first happened shortly before two o'clock Tuesday morning on South Barker Drive.
The second, on East Linwood Avenue off Dauphin Island Parkway and the third on Morgan Avenue. The crimes all happened within an hour.
During the first case, two men forced their way inside, at least one of the suspects fired shots. No one was hurt. On Linwood Drive, two men also forced open the door. Police say they struck a woman with a handgun and demanded money. She received minor injuries to hear head. On Morgan Avenue, a man was shot three times after four or five men kicked open his door. He was taken to the hospital where he was treated for his injuries. Kathy O'Daniel of Mobile said you can't even be safe in your home anymore. "We've bought burglar bars for both back and front of our doors because my mother has always been afraid of that. And I mean we're getting to where we're scared to leave the house. We won't leave it unattended at all," said Kathy O'Daniel of Mobile. Officers say robbery is believed to be the motive in all these cases. At this time, the crimes do not appear to be connected, but police are still investigating.

NOT A MOBILE RESIDENT BUT DO LIVE IN BALDWIN COUNTY. THE CRIME RATES HAVE INCREASED SIGNIFICANTLY IN THE PAST 2 YEARS IN MY LOCAL AREA. WITH 2 CHILDREN AT HOME AND IGNORANT PEOPLE WHO THINK THAT IT IS OK TO INVADE OTHERS’ HOMES, I WAIT FOR THE DAY ONE OF THEM ATTEMPTS TO INVADE MINE. I AM SURE THEY WILL HAVE A REGRETFUL TIME WHEN THEY HAVE TO FACE MY 9MM AND ENGLISH/AMERICAN BULLDOG! PEOPLE SHOULD INVEST IN SOME KIND OF SELF DEFERNCE CLASSES IN THE EVENT THIS HAPPENS TO YOU. TAE-KWON-DOE, ISHINRU AND JUDO ARE VERY HELPFUL.

I CAN’T WAIT UNTIL A HOME OWNER BLOWS THESE GUYS AWAY WHEN THEY KICK IN THEIR DOOR.  THEN MAYBE THE WORD WILL GET OUT THAT EVERY CITIZEN IN MOBILE HAS THE RIGHT TO DEFEND LIFE AND PROPERTY.
