ORANJESTAD, Aruba (AP) - A judge today ordered an
extended detention of two brothers held in the disappearance of
American teenager Natalee Holloway after reviewing new evidence in
the case.
Surinamese brothers Satish and Deepak Kalpoe will be detained in
separate police stations for at least another eight more days while
prosecutors continue to pursue the investigation.
The brothers have been held since Wednesday on suspicion of
involvement in Holloway's death.
The prosecutor's office says a third suspect, Joran van der
Sloot, was expected to arrive in Aruba today, a day after
a judge in the Netherlands approved his arrest and transfer.
Holloway's father lives in Meridian, Mississippi. She lived in Mountain Brook and was on her senior class trip to Aruba when she disappeared in 2005.
