Clinton gets Ohio boost from former senator-astronaut John GlennWASHINGTON (AP) - Former senator and astronaut John Glenn is
endorsing Hillary Rodham Clinton for president -- a possible boost
for Clinton in Ohio, a key upcoming primary state.
Glenn calls Clinton a "leader who can deliver real solutions on
her first day in office." He says Clinton will immediately "go to
work" to turn around the nation's economy and to rebuild the
middle class. And he says she has the "strength and experience"
to take on the Republicans and to win Ohio and the White House.
Clinton is looking for wins in Ohio and Texas as the states
prepare for the March 4th primaries. There are 334 delegates at
stake, and Clinton is looking to reinvigorate her campaign after
rival Barack Obama's wins in five contests over the weekend.
Clinton says she's "deeply honored" to have Glenn's support
and that with his help, her campaign will take a message of change
across Ohio.
