to decide whether he'll continue appealing four sex crime
conviction or start serving his prison sentence.
Marshall County Assistant District Attorney Byron Waldrop told
The Huntsville Times today that the Alabama Court of Criminal
Appeals last week upheld the convictions against Shane Alldredge.
Alldredge, who is 32, remains free on a $10,000 bond during his
appeal. He has until January 20th to appeal to the state Supreme
Court or begin serving a three-year prison sentence.
Alldredge was found guilty in September 2006 of soliciting sex
in exchange for not writing traffic tickets against four women.
Alldredge, who maintains his innocence, had asked a judge to
grant him probation. He said he had been punished enough by being
fired from his job and humiliated by residents in his community.
