She's asking for help from Alabama Governor Bob Riley.
Carrie Dishon says Noah Price has made plenty of progress in special needs classes at Breitling Elementary.
Then, Dishon says she heard about budget cuts and learned Noah will be mainstreamed.
Dishon says, "He's going to go to first grade with regular children. Noah's printing looks like chicken scratch and he can't read."
Dishon grew more frustrated but then decided to write a letter to Governor Bob Riley.
She says, "I know that he cares about children because I remember two years ago he was on television and had given money to Mobile County. That's where I got the idea that he does love our children, he does care and maybe he can find a way to send money down here."
Dishon says she hopes Noah can make enough progress to be mainstreamed one day.
But she says now is not the time.
Dishon says, "I'm not an educator, I'm not a financial person, but something is wrong when there's not money for our children."
The Alabama Senate is scheduled to vote on the education budget Thursday.
